Tony Jones, a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is currently the musical director for the internationally known recording group "Sister Sledge". As an accomplished bassist, composer, and arranger, Tony has just released his first, self-produced solo recording project entitled "Beyond A Dream".

 
 
 
 
 
 Jazz, Rhythm & Blues, Pop, and Classical Music are genres that this special artist has mastered. He has recorded for Motown's new jazz label "Mo Jazz", on Norman Connors CD "Remember Who You Are" as well as various other artists. Adding Gospel music to his repertoire, Tony has recorded with the TRi State Mass Choir of the Edwin Hawkins Music & Arts, Inc. and Bishop Freddie Washington and the Music Workshop Choir. He is a member of the Clef Club for Performing Arts of Philadelphia, and he teaches the bass to aspiring students. 

Tony has toured extensively in the United States, Europe, Canda and Asia with notable artists such as Nina Simone, Sister Sledge, jean Carne, Grover Washington Jr., John Blake, Blue Magic, Norman Connors, Billy Paul, Sonny Stitt, Taj Mahal, Eartha Kitt, Esther Phillips, Paquito D'Rivera, Larry Coryell, The Blue Notes, Red Rodney, James Moody, Eddie Cleanhead Vinson, Dakota Station, Clerence Carter, Vince Montana, etc. 

  
  
  
  
  
  
  
Having just returned from extended engagements at the Q Club in Istanbul, Turkey; London, England; The Bee Hive Club in Sapporo, Japan; and St. Scramble in Okinawa, Japan, Tony is stepping out as a solo artist and the leader of his own band. His versatility, musicianship, originality, and business sense will carry Tony to lofty heights in the entertainment world.
